L’Eucharistie a été instituée par Jésus le soir où avant  de mourir, a  pris son dernier repas avec ses disciples.  C’est le plus grand des sacrements.

Le Premier pardon, aussi appelé sacrement de réconciliation, est destiné à rétablir l’amitié avec Dieu de qui l’on s’est éloigné par nos manques d’amour et par le péché. 

Pardon /Eucharistie 2026-2027

Depuis maintenant 4 ans, l’unité pastorale de St-Jean-Paul II et St-François-d’Assise a choisi de faire du témoignage l’élément essentiel de toutes démarches sacramentelles.

Nous croyons aussi que le témoignage le plus important doit venir des parents suivis de la communauté et c’est pourquoi le parcours Pardon/Eucharistie se fait à la maison avec une présence explicative durant une célébration dominicale précédent la première communion.

Lors de la soirée d’information, vous recevrez le matériel ainsi qu’une catéchèse vous permettant de faire la démarche à la maison, en famille, et à votre rythme. Vous recevrez aussi toutes les infos, dates, heures, lieux auxquelles vous devez assister avec votre jeune.

Consignes à suivre : 

• Vous pouvez vous inscrire en ligne (voir lien ci-dessous) mais vous devez ABSOLUMENT être présent, sans votre jeune, à la date de la soirée d’inscriptions/infos/catéchèse.
• coût: 125$, à payer comptant ou par chèque au nom de St-Jean-Paul II ou St-François D’Assise (lors de la soirée inscription du 19 octobre)
• Indiquez votre paroisse (église) ou si vous êtes de l’extérieur.
• Vous pouvez également faire le paiement ligne (en indiquant les infos sur votre enfant)
• Il n’y aura aucun rappel téléphonique .

First Forgiveness, also called the sacrament of reconciliation, is meant to restore friendship with God from whom we have drifted away through our lack of love and through sin.

Penance / Eucharist 2026-2027

For the past 4 years, the pastoral unit of St. John Paul II and St. Francis of Assisi has chosen to make testimony the essential element of all sacramental preparations.

We also believe that the most important testimony should come from the parents, followed by the community, which is why the Penance/Eucharist journey takes place at home with an explanatory presence during a Sunday celebration before the first communion.

During the information evening, you will receive the materials as well as a catechesis allowing you to go through the process at home, as a family, and at your own pace. You will also receive all the info, dates, times, and places you need to attend with your child.

Instructions to follow:

• You can register online (see the link below) but you ABSOLUTELY must be present, without your child, on the date of the registration/info/catechism evening.
• Cost: $125, payable in cash or by check made out to St-Jean-Paul II or St-François D’Assise (at the registration evening on October 19)
• Please indicate your parish (church) or if you are from out of town.
• You can also make the payment online (by providing your child’s information)
• There will be no phone reminders.
